Food: Dessert sweet reminder of multicultural friends
The Detroit News When I texted thanks to Tasnime and to ask the recipe she told me it was an Egyptian dessert called Umm Ali (Ali's Mother), a clearly Middle Eastern version of bread pudding (which happens to be my favorite dessert). No wonder we gobbled it in minutes. |
